Be careful about bold predictions in the Jefferson cup and certainly don’t write pipeline off in a game that actually matters. We (McLean) Learned that lesson. We played them a few months ago in a scrimmage and tied 3 to 3. We shared your initial thoughts that perhaps they weren’t as good as they are. We played them about a month later and they destroyed us 5-0. It could’ve been much worse but the coach was actually telling them not to score. I later learned that in the first game the squad was heavily 2010. Our second meeting was strictly 2009 girls and they kept their starters in. From my understanding Pipeline likes to play up younger players. If you had a scrimmage day with them chances are many of their better nine‘s probably played with the 08 team. That won’t happen in a real game
And to think that Pipeline lost in regular league play to PDA. Mclean, where do you fall within the NOVA teams?
Not sure what you mean about PDA? They are one of the best 2009 teams in the country from one of the best Clubs in the country.
McLean is one of the top 09 teams in NOVA now that they have snagged some Arlington players. Mclean is now much better than Arlington because of that. McLean only seems to play scrimmages and league play but avoid tournaments like the plague...no Jeff Cup or Arlington ASIST. Just playing up on 2008 level of its own tournament (which is just B and C tier teams...) I would suspect they lose to Coppermine by at least 3 goals if not more and also have a tough time against Liverpool.
Loudoun is legit though even if Pipeline did have some 2010s playing against them. They play possession style soccer and have speed and power up top.
Good luck!
How old are these girls?
Laughably young to be calling any team "legit".

Loudoun beats SYC Blue 5-0 in final of Asist Tourney.
Loudoun loses to the Michigan team in the final. Arlington loses to Severna Park in final of 3rd tier.
That's really all I care about.
Will Jeff Cup switch brackets if SYC Blue beats Loudoun on Assist?

Hopefully Pipeline will actually be better when it actually matters. Then we can once again watch the Loudoun parents meltdown come the following Monday. Same goes for the 2008s and 2007s.

2)Arlington
3) Reston GF

Isnt 09 like 5th graders. Are we really doing this?
6th Grade! Anyway, the 08 Girls thread has been going for like two years now, they were actually in the 5th grade when it started and now it's up to almost 130 pages of nonsense. I wonder if the same teams in the early days of that thread are still the same teams to beat two years later.
As for that list, whoever posted that has not seen many 2009s play...Arlington and Great Falls are both better than McLean IMO. Great Falls played McLean a year ago and beat them 7-2. Alright, maybe Arlington and McLean are the same but neither is even close to Loudoun. Sorry.
