At 25-30 my husband made like 50k and I made 40. Now he makes 280 and I make 80 but do most of the kid stuff. My sister in law made 30k when she met her husband at 25, but now at 35 years old brings in 120 and he makes about 150. My point is a lot can happen between 30 and 40 years old career wise. Find someone who is passionate about her career and ambitious like you and the rest will follow.

When I met my husband at a happy hour, I was 25 and he was 29. I was earning $70K and he was earning a lot more. He supported me through law school, after which my earnings went way up. He does most of the cooking and cleaning, and is the primary parent. I couldn't keep my job if he wasn't stepping up on the home front.

Totally unlikely a 25 year old will make $200K. That’s still entry level age.

I married at 33, my husband was 36. He made twice as much as me at the time. After 10 years I made
$25K more. Then he got laid off. Was is employed for a time. He is employed now. Makes decent money, but I make way

Fair warning OP- men who make the same amount typically have to pull their 50% with kids and chores. Men who marry low earning spouse seem to expect servitude

I’m in your target income range and make more than twice what my husband does ($105K). No elite schools, no family money, no grad school. The disparity in earning is private v. government job, the latter of which is more flexible and provides better family healthcare. As others have noted, he’s not threatened by my success, doesn’t dump all the household chores on me, and isn’t looking to be taken care of like he’s not an adult.

Top schools. DH and I both went to the same HYPS school — half our classmates are similar, another good chunk met their spouses at top grad schools / post college jobs (same “analyst class”).

OP here, so I work in tech which is well known for not valuing anything over a Bachelor’s unless you go into some very specialized work like AI, thus I only have a BS in Computer Science. I have zero plans on ever getting a Master’s degree because I simply don’t need and nobody I work with has one. I guess I’m screwed?

A BS in computer science and you are demanding a high earner wife? No, dude, you are not "screwed", I don't think there's a line of women wanting to screw you. Income notwithstanding.
