2. Move to a 2 bedroom with a decent living room.
3. You get one room during the day, your husband gets the other room, nanny and baby get the living room and kitchen. Text the nanny BEFORE you come out for any reason.
4. Make sure that you have a lightweight stroller if it’s a walk up. You will want the nanny to take your child out every morning and afternoon, and you guys should get out after work. Staring at the same four walls all day is not healthy.
Where would the baby nap in this scenario?
What I would propose with a 2 bedroom
Bedroom 1: set up as master bedroom with a baby crib in there
Bedroom 2: Set up as an office
Nanny and baby get the living room, but nanny puts baby to nap in the master bedroom.
That’s not workable if both parents have video calls.
Pack-and-play in the living room or move the crib into the living room in the morning.

What is the rationale behind texting nanny before I come out? I get that it is easier for nanny to be on her best behavior then but I like the idea of being able to check in at random to assess how she’s doing

Because it's going to get really hard for your baby to see you but not be able to play with you/have you stay. So you text nanny to go out with the baby so they don't see you.
You'll be able to hear baby and nanny all day, so no need to check in to assess.
