It always seemed to be to have some similarities to UVA (with the obvious size difference noted). Why are people so quick write off all of Dartmouth off when it has some similar traits that makes UVA attractive to people in Virginia?
UVA is attractive because it's a flagship that costs 35k a year instate. Dartmouth's cost to attend is 77k

I've read through parts of this and some other reddit threads on this exact issue at Dartmouth, and the biggest rebuttal I've seen from Dartmouth grads is simply along the lines of "well it happens at other schools, too."
That's written by a student; why would you give it any credence?
If you look hard enough, you'll find someone with an axe to grind against any school.

Anonymous wrote:Different Dartmouth alumna here. I went to college there 30+ years ago and it was a toxic environment then and still is.

Yikes. Some horrible stuff there. He doesn’t come off much better. The everything-sucks cynicism is tiresome. Ooh, green eggs and ham is a sinister ploy to inculcate us! Give it a rest. Get a sense of humor.
Get a sense of humor? About sexual assault and racism and rape? Hm. Maybe think before you type.
