Where are you going to move to?

BWHAHAHAHAHA. What planet are you on?
I see AEM made their way in here.
I’m not on AEM, but I’m an Arlington taxpayer, parent, and educator. And I don’t agree with you- the other local superintendents most certainly have not handled it better, because they got bullied into making promises they never were going to be able to keep, and jerked families and teachers around with all of their pullback. How would you have handled it?
It’s kind of hard to treat bwhahaha with any dignity at all. I shouldn’t be.
Well I don't agree with you. Nor does science. But you do you and keep believing you're correct. I couldn't care less what you think about me. I'm good with my opinions and decisions. You're welcome to yours, but I'm good with mine.
I asked you a simple question: how would YOU have handled it? WHY do you feel the other local superintendents handled it better? You put yourself out there, bwhahha.. what would you have done? I guarantee you if you had tried to send my babies in a few months ago, you would not have been successful.
It’s NOT MY JOB. What I would do is completely irrelevant. You’re free to keep your babies (really are they toddlers??) virtual as long as you’d like. No one is forcing them back in.

I think it is much better than the FCPS and LCPS plans to bring teachers back before they've gotten their second dose. I applaud Duran for putting his staff health and safety as a priority. We need these highly trained teachers to stay in APS. And honestly, I'm afraid the parent vitriol of the past few months has really done some damage.
That is an understatement. Your community will be sorry when teachers start throwing in the towel.

Teachers are being asked to do a job they were never trained for with about as little control over the situation as we parents have. They are doing their best. The kids have been flung into a completely bizarre season of life without warning, guided by adults who are stressed to the max. They are doing their best. And us parents... we are trying to navigate this while keeping our households, careers, families and mental health a float. We are ALL just trying our best. This is a once in a century global pandemic. Stop sitting in your glass house pointing fingers as if you had the magic potion that could make this all work so much better. Of course things could have been handled different. Of course. But there is no way to know what is best and every decision is met with divisive controversy. I’m sick of the complaining from both sides. Let’s focus on getting each other through this. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Thank you - for so eloquently putting what my jumbled stressed mind has been thinking. This X 1000.

I think several of us have made it clear. We would have proceeded similarly to how Dr. Duran has! That’s what we meant by saying we thought he’s handled it well!

I’m pretty sure “science” has no opinion about how Dr. Duran has handled this. People who like to put the word “science” on yard signs definitely do, however. And we are all well aware of their views. We get to hear them scream about on a biweekly basis at school board meetings!
