+1 Celtic
This is U14 thread.
-2 Celtic. Trapped players are legal in ECNL and have been since the age of dawn.

Teams do get them in front of college coaches but parents that are worrying that much about the team have a kid who is at best middling d1 player. Play them where they enjoy the game. Quickest way to lose that middle level d1 spot is have them quit playing soccer because their coach is an ass (i.e. McLean, BSC) I know of several kids who have left ECNL teams for strong edp teams. My guess is those kids will have at least as good a shot at mid level d1 schools as those those who, in 8th or 9th grade, play for an a** and arent the star. In MD,celtic would be my recommendation for these 2nd tier clubs, followed closely by armour (they are in GA but I dont see that league as much above EDP) Both have coaches who actually care about their kids. Maybe, after them, Coppermine or FCGB who have strong 06 and 07 teams. By all means if your kid is the star on their bsc or mclean team stay there.

SYC cannot compete with these teams. Good ccl club but not ECNL or top GA.
I don't think poster realizes this is talking about U14 Girls. SYC U14 girls are not nearly on this level. OP got it right with his list....
IMO...
1. FCV GA 07s (They just illegally recruited yet another player during the break, the lack of respect FCV and it's parents have is unbelievable. It's more the parents though. Will 08s be moved back on age after spring? But hey, they have a great team!)
2. Loudoun ECNL 07s (How many will leave after this year to FCV)
3. McLean ECNL 07s (Gets the leftovers from FCV)
4. Bethesda ECNL 07s (How many players can FCV or McLean take from them after Spring???)
5. Maryland United ECNL 07s (Will obtain better players from smaller clubs in the area, perhaps surpassing Bethesda in Fall 2021)
6. Baltimore Armour GA 07s (Fun coach who has retained it's players for years now but not much more upside)
7. Baltimore Celtic Union 07s (IMO, may lose players to MD United or Bethesda)
8. Coppermine Premier 07s (Wildcard, unlikely to lose players to Pipeline however, Celtic Union is in the area...)
9. VDA ECNL 07s (FCV has taken at least one player, can they take anymore?)
10. Arlington GA 07s (On the bottom of this list and not going anywhere.)
All I can say is enjoy it while it lasts FCV. Every team behind 07s is really struggling to make progress. The "Champions League" is the only hope for continuing success but it's going to take some major changes to get there. GA is also going to be a tough sell moving forward with 4 quality ECNL programs. Say what you want about Loudoun, but the younger ages seem promising.
Curious how FCV illegally recruited off VDA?
Exactly what would be "illegal" about it?
They didn't do anything "illegal" but parents have spoken with other parents at Loudoun, McLean, BRYC, Bethesda, VDA and Herndon. Some of these parents steadily put down the programs at these clubs and tell them how much better FCV is in everyway possible. Once a prospect comes to a practice, Bobby is there to clean it up and close the sale.
Maybe not illegal, but hardly ethical.

Happy players don't leave.
Exactly what is unethical?
Telling complete lies about programs, coaches, parents, and it's players. I would call that unethical. You are probably one of those parents.
