On TV, PBS.

Read WP and NYT online (only news, not opinion pieces) and if I want more depth/balance I check with www.allsides.com and www.politifact.com.

Only watch PBS and BBC and even then sparingly.

Exactly. Read a paper. TV news is not a great information source, unless maybe there is a special report.

I read the WSJ. The news side is very good and balanced. The opinion page can be ridiculous at times, but I find it a good source for news outside of that.

On tv I watch NBC news, or ABC on weekend mornings.

None. I tune in on local news for the weather.

It's crazy to spend your life watching people comment on the news.

why? because the hill owner wanted to protect trump, and the hill didn't maintain a proper firewall to protect editorial independence.

the hill is owned by jerry finkelstein; solomon was his primary staffer to carry out that agenda. solomon is gone from the hill, but finkelstein is still the owner, so the hill isn't trustworthy.

Just saw the graphic posted slightly upthread, and I see much of my viewing sources are at the top center mainly left. The Hill recently popped up in my YouTube feed and I had been wondering about it. Seems like it might be a good balance to my other sources.

I’d looked up biases on various sites before, but it’s hard to tell what kind of bias those rating sites have. Sigh.

Part of the problem is that some folks think that "moderate" has to mean "in the middle of the Democrats and the Republicans." But the Republicans have gotten awfully extreme over the last 30 years.

So, if you have a journalist saying something moderate like masks help slow a pandemic; the world is older than 6,000 years old; and evolution is real -- it sounds "liberal."

You have got to be kidding. Yes, I watch CNN and I like CNN, but it is pretty solidly liberal. And unlike Fox News, CNN doesn't really differentiate between their news anchors and their editorialists. On Fox, you can assume that Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson are going to be frothing at the mouth conservative even being pro-Trump propaganda, but they are essentially columnists and talk show hosts, not journalists. The anchors and journalists are Conservative but nowhere near as radical and brainwashed as the commentary team.

On CNN, you have Anderson Cooper (who is one of my favorite anchors) who is a bleeding heart liberal. He shows his emotions and outrage and liberal bent as he "conveys" the news. And he's only the tip. Jake Tapper and Don Lemon are so progressive that make AOC look moderate. Wolf Blitzer is the closest you have to a moderate and tends to convey the news in a more even keeled presentation, but the majority of the hosts frequently show their outrage and their political leanings as they present the news without trying to appear unbiased.
