Why? When you date married people or cheat you put yourself into that category. And deserve the terms for that behavior. Not that pp, but you're wrong in attacking the person appropriately labeling one of the cheaters.

No, my long term spouse would be dead to me. If I stayed married it would only be for finances and the kids. I agree both cheaters are pos, and I would asked myself how I picked such a loser. Something I missed, or failed to follow up on.

There were no real consequences for him socially or otherwise, if that's what you're asking. People talked, people disapproved of course, felt badly for his wife. But he wasn't ostracized or anything.

I saw Paul Hogan last night on tv (crocodile dundee). Left is wife and kids of many years for his nasty co-star. His wife at the time told the gold digger he's old now and just likes to sit around and watch tv. Good luck...lol. Well she dumped him and took a lot of money. He rarely sees his 5 kids because of their poor feelings toward him. He's not doing well financially either, looked pretty sad and alone these days.

My BIL did it, but his wife was cheating... had a revenge affair, she got pregnant ... he moved in with her. She was a complete lunatic. He moved into a friends basement paying alimony/child support to 2 women. Both his kids from marriage #1 hate both their mom and dad fir about 3 years.

Fortunately, the “young one” died of cancer so now he is a single dad to a 4 year old and dating a nice person his age and the kids talk to him again.

That is sad, for you and siblings, but not so much for your mom. Good riddance. I hope she is enjoying herself.


Yes she is doing quite well. She did quite a bit of traveling which was slowed down by covid. She is back in college too and is seems to have a new lease on life.


Good for your mom that she got a new lawyer and didn't let your dad take advantage of her (it's easy to do after so many years of marriage), and also glad that she's living her good life (going to college etc.). Of course, the fact that you support her throughout this helps her as well. BTW, I wouldn't want to see the OW at all either.
