Agree that Jean Nate is now totally different.

Also, my aunt used to sell Avon in the novelty perfume bottles. So much fun at the time.

In my regular rotation is Gloria Vanderbilt. I get compliments and it’s very light and powdery, just a fresh smell.

Problem is the formulations have changed - really - I know my scents and have researched this! Jean Nate isn’t the same at all. Jontue is completely different. Still searching for Chloe (original).

Throwback - I remember getting the whole shebang as presents: the perfumes would have a lotion, perfume, body powder...

Yes, a lot of perfumes have been just destroyed by reformulating - sometimes it’s because bases and things aren’t available, some ingredients have been banned in some countries so they just reformulate for the whole world, and sometimes they’re just cheap bstards. I understand my Beyond Paradise has been “streamlined” in addition to having been put in the world’s ugliest bottle. Why didn’t they just use this bottle, perhaps just in white? Yes, cheap perfume is still very much a thing and perfume snobs have in fact highlighted some classics - I have worn Stetson (the one for men) and Sand and Sable.

Currently dealing with joblessness so I’m not buying anything, but I only recently learned that the Fragrance Shop does knockoffs. I’m not so interested in the knock offs of existing perfumes, but they sell a “Clinique Simply type”! I only got interested in perfume after Clinique discontinued it.

Exclamation! was created by Sophia Grosjman. She created several MONSTROUSLY popular perfumes and you can kind of smell some artistic signatures between Exclamation and her others (like Tresor, White Linen and Beautiful). https://www.fragrantica.com/noses/Sophia_Grojsman.html

Perfume is rapidly becoming not a thing anymore. Allergies and scent sensitivities are on the rise, I think eventually most workplaces will be scent free. Right now it seems like only much older women wear it anyway.

Yes! Also pearberry splash from bath and body works- it was in a windex bottle type thing. Gap heaven was in a sleek silver square.

I wear perfume everyday now that we are home fulltime. My husband is from Europe and scents are an everyday thing for them, so he loves when I wear it.

I loved Sunflowers!!
