Get over it, covid has changed alot and we dont want our kids breathing covid indoors.
So it’s OK to displace tennis players? Let’s keep putting up barriers to fitness so we can keep the obesity rate up. We poor folks are always getting screwed. Thanks
So you would displace the 10-15 kids per court playing for two people to play tennis?
No I’d have the 10-15 kids per court play on the empty soccer field right next to the court and allow the tennis players to play on the tennis court. Seems like that would maximize facility use for the benefit of everyone. I don’t understand this futsal thing, but it seems like they could double the number of kids playing by doing soccer right next door. So this is clearly not about getting kids exercise (if so they are doing it seriously wrong) Do people actually pay extra to have their kids play soccer on a tennis court when a vacant soccer field is right next door. I’ve heard of some scams, but this seems like a new one.

Everyone talking about how it's all paid for... you will pay again when the tennis courts deteriorate faster from this inappropriate use. Tennis courts are surfaced for a particular use and this is not one of them. But thankfully not as bad as the people playing HOCKEY on them. Dear lord.
At that point hopefully they will convert them to futsal courts and make it more valuable for the community. So much wasted space with so many tennis courts. Facts being told a tennis court being used correctly can service a maximum of 4 people per hour (doubles). The same court can be used to service up to 20 futsal players. If you do the math the city/county gets more bang for the buck by converting all of these many tennis courts to futsal courts.
Sounds like the perfect plan! And they will convert the indoor futsal courts to tennis, for a year-round facility for tennis. Win-win!
So, in January, some people are having their kids play "soccer" on tennis courts? Aren't those cleats terrible for tennis courts?

Or at the very least, a heads up would be nice.
