We've raised our now college and HS aged sons to consider if they want to take on the responsibility of being the sole earner, or if they want to marry an educated woman with a job. Our son had a girlfriend who expected him to take her on date night every time he received his paycheck. It was an eye opening experience for him, and he eventually grew tired of paying.

Everyone gets old. Is this who you want in midlife? Somebody on her @ss that has never earned a cent. Most likely. Men that settle for “hot” vs hot AND accomplished are very different men. Three views on women are very different. Donald vs Obama.

There’s a whole lot of women in between someone on her ass who never earned a cent, and Ivy League grad who makes $500k a year. Specifically, there are a lot of women who work really hard, but don’t have a BMW in the garage of her beach house. Stop sneering at women less accomplished than you might be.

Relax, sister. You realize my post was directed to a man that said if she is young and sexy it doesn’t matter.
My point being a man who only cares to settle with young and sexy is a very different man that makes sure young and sexy also is smart, ambitious and has career potential.

That's not the point of the thread.
And it's also wrong. When you see they surveys about working moms influencing daughters, they count "working moms" as anyone who has worked for pay (any amount) before their daughter is 14. That is basically every woman unless you are in some weird cult. Even Amish women have probably sold $500 worth of pies before their daughters are 14. The government counts that as working!
Personally, I know plenty of young women who had stay-at-home moms but are now very successful in their father's business or line of work. I also know plenty of young women who felt neglected by their working moms and saw how stressed they were and don't want any of that for their children.
