2. Why would your spouse throw the alarm clock at you if it wasn't going off? Why wouldn't you shut it off as soon as you got out of bed and finally

Something tells me this is the same OP who has been posting about issues with his wife for at least a decade. His original reason for not leaving was because of the daughter. Now the daughter is in college. So what's your reason for not leaving now OP?

I am actually really confused by your story.

Who kicked who, and who threw the alarm clock at who? If the same person did both the kicking and the alarm clock throwing, then that person is the abuser. But you made it sound as though the alarm clock was thrown in retaliation for the kicking.

This was not a “gentle kick.” It was full in violent kicking trying to push me from the bed while hurling expletives at me. So, I did act in self defense to stop the kicking and get out.


How does throwing an alarm clock lead to you getting out of bed? If you got out of bed, and this person pursued you, then yes, throw something, but that doesn't sound like that's what happened.

You both sounds abusive. I hope there are no children involved.
