Nothing wrong with any of those if you have the lifestyle and space for them, but I don't. So--that leaves purebreds since the dogs that would be a good fit for the average apartment dweller get snapped up the same day they become available. Maybe the universe doesn't want me to have a dog, or maybe I'm supposed to wait a while longer, but that's what I'm putting my personal Xmas funds toward.
