*rolls eyes* She's a South African citizen or was before marriage. She could have ran to the S.A. embassy and claimed refuge. Immediately been put on a plane home. Hell, all she had to do was hop into a taxi and demand they drive her across the border - Monaco is so tiny that could have been in France or Italy in 5 minutes. They don't require or check for passports when you're traveling between European countries by car or rail - even as a foreigner just like in the States.
