Or kids whose parents interact with lots of people every day (by necessity or by choice)? You have to accept the risk of daycare. It sucks that society has made this so hard, with a lack of parental leave, family leave, and ill conceived covid measures (or lack of any measures). Also do you really think the employees and directors won't meet with local family? Or won't take a temporary job given their pay? Or babysit even? You are all trying to fight human nature.
We each need to do what we can to protect ourselves and others. Sacrifices are being made all around you.

We just received an email asking us not to travel, spend the night in another person’s house or attend large gatherings. They further state that if they hear about these unsafe practices, children will be asked to quarantine and/or provide a negative COVID test.
So, anyone else?
I’m sorry I wasn’t clear!! My sons go to different schools. One son’s school is requiring quarantine after travel - the other is not. If they stick with this protocol, we will keep YDS out for 2 weeks since there were families who traveled over thanksgiving and didn’t quarantine, which resulted in a positive case.
I’d like to point out to the owner that this is not an imposition - everyone is requiring it!
Anyone care to share the name of their center/school?

Me too. Over Thanksgiving, we drove to our vacation home with just our family, but we still quarantined because DH went to the grocery store once. I'm sure our situation isn't what the policy is for, but I need to follow it if others are.
Do you quarantine when you go to the grocery store here too?
DP. Yes, we quarantine after grocery store visits. We only go about once every 3 weeks.
Really? Why not just do curbside pickup?
DP but we don’t go anywhere besides the grocery store and daycare anyway so it’s easy to quarantine other than daycare drop off. Never take DC to the store so they don’t need to isolate just us.
If your kid is going to daycare, you are not quarantining.
+1 I don't even know what PP means when they say "quarantining". That is just normal living in the times of corona.
