Your kid will post it on their instagram page anyway.
This is exactly how I feel about Facebook. Posting photos of your kids on your social media is pathetic narcissism. Give them privacy and autonomy. They are not your pet.
This. I used to post pictures of my kids (when they were much younger) and stopped when #1 they asked me to, and #2 I realized I was doing it for ME.
What? You <gasp> took PRIDE in your CHILDREN?
You horrible monster.
There’s a difference between taking pride in your children and bragging. If I’m proud of my kids, I tell my KIDS. If I tell other people, that’s bragging, and I totally admit it. I’ll even preface my comments to friends with, “Hey, can I please brag about Larla for a minute?! I’m just so happy!”
I’m not saying not to post on FB, but just realize it for what it is.

Anonymous wrote:What about for ED? DC may know in a week or two where she is going for sure. Is it too soon to post in Dec?
Anonymous wrote:Is there a way for parents to do this that isn’t braggy or obnoxious? Also don’t want to be insensitive, since some people’s kids may have gotten rejections. Thanks.

Are they really your friends though if you don’t know other than seeing it on FB?
