Agreed. I love big cities and small towns, but suburbs? Ugh.
Most of the suburbs mentioned were towns with identities in their own right before anyone invented the word suburb.

Well, needless to say it’s not going to be anywhere in the DC area. I grew up in a lovely Chicago suburb, but really like CT especially once you get away from Greenwich and the over the top wealth.

Also Hunts Point, Yarrow Point, Clyde Hill, Medina and Kirkland, WA (mostly lakefront Seattle suburbs).
