You get the best of both worlds.
Here’s why ↪️:
Both auto brands have years on record for best reliability.
Ask any auto mechanic.
Also, these cars are easy to get parts for since many drivers own these brands.
Finally since these cars are built to last - many people hold on to them much longer so they do not appear dated since there are a lot of people on the road w/these vehicles.
Take a mid-nineties Accord for example.
Even though it is a twenty-five yr. old model, it does not look as dated as a mid-nineties Hyundai Accent.
Parts are expensive. Years ago had a Camry and a Taurus. Same year. My Taurus parts were supercheap. Camry parts almost double the cost. I also found the Camry harder to fix. My motor mount in Camry went cost me $600. No way to get to had to go to dealer. I did some repair on Taurus years later for $20. Actually just used car jack lift engine a few inches and slid $20 part in.
Funny yesterday I was behind a Taurus at a traffic light. I see a lot of Ford Taurus. Most are between 1985-1998 when a top seller. I saw on on I-95 the other day going 80. That is a 30 year old base model car, pretty impressive. I see way more 1980s Taurus’s vs 1980s canary’s and accords on the road
