Duke claims Cody Ko and his friends, a bunch CS grads who started Cameo. My senior is a big fan and plays video games with a couple of them.

Agreed. I'm a UIUC alum and many of my friends were CS majors and doing very well now. Most had multiple high-paying job offers before they graduated, as they were heavily recruited by a number of companies. UIUC is about as traditional of a "big state school" as you get, with all the pros and cons that come with it. Lots of resources, research opportunities, weekend football games, large Greek system, huge gen ed classes, and always tons going on.

Getting back to OP's question, http://csrankings.org/#/index?all is not a bad place to poke around. Especially if DC has a preference for one type (Embedded vs. Databases) of CS and wants to drill down into research activity.

I've not seen Waterloo ranked in the top 10 on any list.. Can you share some data points?

I too have never heard of Princeton as a program to mention specifically, notwithstanding of course some brilliant individuals in which every program will have some.
The big 4 is uncontested with CMU at the top, particularly in AI/ML. Their department is larger than any other as well.

I have never heard of Princeton bests CMU in any CS discipline. The Big Four is a recent recognition, not a generation-ago thing.

Citation? None of those are separate application schools. Where are you getting SAT/Salary info?
PP's info. is likely lower for the SAT. I can't find the average but the mid 50% range for SCS is 750-800 and 790-800 for ERWS and Math respectively. Avg would be 785.
