You’ve had a very good team at the young ages but McLean is still the top dog at the oldest ages until someone knocks them off at U17 and U19. That is what winning a national title, getting to the finals a year later and going 20-0 in the league last year gets you.

Will be very interesting to see how the league moves around after a couple weekends of Carolinas v. Virginia. Carolina teams fared well in the SC ECNL national event.... gonna be sweet winter/spring season.

McLean on a downward diagonal trend. Interesting
No S Sherlock. It's been that way for years, McLean teams get better with age. #dosomeresearch
Why is that?
See above. McLean is a club that attracts players. They continue to make the rosters better as time goes on.
While it is true that success attracts good players, it is impossible to grow competitive teams at U17 and U18 without internal development. These days it's probably 30% addition, and 70% development. Years back, it was probably more even when they were a "destination" club.
Congrats on a crappy covid season where a quarter of the games have been played, practice schedules interrupted, Bethesda kids fleeing to Mclean because they can't play in Montgomery County. So on and so forth. This season doesn't mimic anything similar to a ECNL season.
But hey....whatever
