He told me that he thought it was romantic and proceeded to take office clothes lol.
As far as the book goes he said that he was very touched by it.

So crazy that this is still vivid in your mind. Interesting that you married the one who knows how to keep things sexy for you. I’ve always believed that romance and sex are the same to a man, as much as women want it to be more it simply isn’t. This thread is still anecdotal, and there are exceptions to the rule, but your experience is the perfect demonstration of what I’m talking about.

This thread just shows women are not romantic. They like it when men are romantic to them but that’s as far as it goes. Its the man’s job to be romantic and as you put it romantic = sex. I’m not sure that men appreciate some of the things that women traditionally do, but they do like to feel liked an appreciated. As we try to tell our son as he moves off into the world, “you have to like the other person and enjoy spending time with them with your clothes on without the promise of sex” (we have plenty of it, but that’s not the point of the message) We still make each other laugh and do considerate things for each other. It’s not really the grand gestures, but the small ones.
