That's your story and you're sticking to it. Even though 2 out of 3 of the incidents you reference occurred at other schools, not Whitman.

The race of the minor in question hasn't been released. Further, Whitman has another racist episode almost weekly whether it's nazi signs, n* trading cards,kids in blackface. There's a strong tradition of racism at the W's.

I find it hysterical that anyone would claim that a racially diverse friend group out for the evening (albeit up to no good, but lots of all-white and all-black groups of kids are as well, because... teenagers) is evidence of segregation. I’d like to buy the world a dictionary.

There is a supply and demand problem with bigotry. Whites just aren't as racist as they're made out to be. Hoaxes are now more common than actual racist incidents.

And of course all the progressives living down county excitedly pushed the white rich racist narrative immediately without letting the facts come to the surface. Their response when being called on it is always the same - even if this time it wasn't true, Whitman is still a segregated racist school and I stand by this fact.

See.. you can't really stand by a "fact" if it's not truly a fact.

Whitman may be predominantly white, but it's definitely NOT segregated.

Segregated schools are restricted to one group, based exclusively on the basis of racial or ethnic membership.
They maintain separate facilities for members of different, especially racially different groups.

I'm AA, my kids do not attend Whitman, and my grandparent's were heavily involved in the civil rights movement... and they would be insulted to hear you say that Whitman is a segregated school.

You clearly have no idea what a true segregated school is/was like and you just like to throw the word segregated around, which dilutes the harshest meanings of the word segregated.

Maybe you should watch some videos of what it was really like for little brown boys and girls who were the first to attend "segregated schools" and then tell me if Whitman is segregated.

Until then, your supposed "facts" and the concept that you stand by them, mean absolutely nothing.

As someone who was formerly involved in the investigation of so-called racist hate crimes I can tell you that most end up being false reports of crime. The individuals do it for various reasons but most mirror the teen boy at Whitman. It’s either to further a cause or thinking it would be “fun”.

But the school had a good option. They could have noted that: 1/ the perpetrators had turned themselves in, 2/ There was no evidence of a hate crime, 3/ reminded students that vandalism will not be tolerated. But instead they plowed on with the racist narrative.

I'm not sure the news outlets had good options here. They do not typically report the race of alleged perpetrators, and they were not able to actually identify the students becuase they were minors.
