But rethink bridesmaids! Seriously. No one wants to be a bridesmaid. It is way nicer to go to a wedding as a guest. Plus less money for them and less drama and coordination for you. win win.

The whole thing is strange. A wedding is a ceremony and party, not a theater production.
I agree. Never have been able to understand how anyone thinks matching dresses, or even coordinating dresses, is a good idea. I just had one maid of honor and she wore a dress of her choice, in the color of her choice, from a store of her choice.
I've found my people. One maid of honor is the way to go, especially over 30.

Anonymous wrote:They all feel very "bridesmaid colors". I don;t know, it just doesn't feel modern or fresh at all, sorry but wanted to give an honest opinion. I have been married 14 years and what you are describing felt dated even then, IMO. I actually even have a green evening dress that I wore to some corporate events 2 years ago, so I don't hate all greens, etc but these shades you are talking about feel very much like they were picked from a selection of matching cumberbunds.
Anonymous wrote:I had to wear a dark green bridesmaid dress, and I hated it. It’s not flattering on everyone, and that should be your primary concern. You should go shopping with your bridesmaids and see how they look and feel in whatever color you go with.
There’s a reason black is so popular: everyone looks great in black.
