I'd tell her that since the mask should never be OFF while DS is out of the house it is completely unacceptable to lose the mask. It should be on the hook by the front door or on his face. Tell her if she loses it, she has to go find it and you won't pay for that time, and if she can't find it she will have to pay to replace it.
There's no good reason to put up with shit like that.
I read through this whole thread expecting somebody to shred this poster, but nothing! Do you seriously talk to your nanny like this? I can’t imagine she’ll work for you much longer as in demand as they are right now.
To OP — you’re making work for yourself. Buy a bunch of cheap masks or disposables and don’t think about it again. It’s not worth your mental energy.

I think so...? Lol, what are people even arguing about anymore? Can we just agree it’s shitty to litter and drop your mask on the ground?

Anonymous wrote:Well, if you buy some reusable masks with feminine patterns such as pink flowers your husband and son will probably not be tempted to wear them, so that solves ONE issue.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anyone has solution to prevent masks to be lost or dropped on the floor when kid take them off for snack/meal break or go outside to play?
Lanyard so they stay around the neck.
This immediately contaminates them when the inside of the mask touches the outside of the clothes.

FFS, do people really not understand the science behind masks? None of these cloth masks are going to prevent Covid germs from passing through and entering your nose and mouth. The cloth is porous. The only masks that do that are the N95 ones. But, wearing a cloth mask will help if YOU are the one that is sick, by preventing less droplets from exiting YOUR nose and mouth, so that YOU spread the disease to fewer people. “Contamination” is not something to worry about with these cloth masks.

But don't be those people littering disposable masks! I hate seeing them on the ground. No one wants to have to pick up a discarded mask.
I drop mine on the ground when I leave a store. You make me wear one, you clean up.
Yeah definitely your showing everybody by acting like a petulant two-year-old.
At least I'm not caving to bad science, sweetie.
Besides, if the mask WAS contaminated, why the hell would I want it in my car? Lol. Just playing along the best I can.

Hardly.
