I don't care about my daughter. I don't believe that height is correlated to success in women.
Of course I realize all of this is out of my control.

How tall are and your spouse?
My just turned 15 yr old DS is 5'3", but he hasn't hit puberty yet. Dad is super tall, but I'm super short. More than likely, DS will be average, but you just never know. DH said he was about the same height as DS at that age and was a late bloomer. He hit puberty and then grew almost a foot thereafter. DH is 6'3".

i've read it somewhere going to bed early/not staying up late during growth years makes a not insignificant difference.
My 14 year old son is 6'1 and goes to sleep around midnight/1 am on a good day. 1 to 3 am on a meh day and 5 am on a bad day.
DP. How tall are you and your DH? Just curious.

I want my dd to be tall, well, meaning over 5'8" tall. DS decided he hated food and stayed at 5'11". I wish everyday I could go back and try to impress on him that eating is important.
I'm not sure how much that impacted him. Unless he had chronic malnutrition, his eating habits probably didn't impact his height all that much.

Height is a longevity advantage for women but not for men
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Just read the thread about how many inches girls grow after first period, and a few posters expressed wanting their DDs to be taller.
My DD is average height and has never had any issues.
Right, she's not short. Try being under 5 feet. That's not great.

+1
And I think safer. People might be less likely to mess with someone who is bigger than they are.
