My sister works for doh and I asked her about this project. She said it was a disaster waiting to happen from conception. You don't send potential vectors out to private homes of sitting ducks during a novel virus. DC was blinded buy the idea that this would be a national model until they realized it would be a national model of failure. Happy to hear it ended before it could do a lot of harm.

Household spread is a HUGE problem especially in multigenerational households. I'm sure if they could be effective via a phone call that would be their preferred choice. But it might take a personal visit and an offer of a free hotel stay to be able to get some younger people out of the apartment so they don't infect the older generations.

The project imploded today because the contact tracers realized management had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I'm glad they rebelled. It was a disaster waiting to happen.
