2 cars and a 2 car carport in the MD burbs. It's really better to expand your driveway if you have to rather than park on the street.

5 cars. 2 in driveway, 3 on street. None in garage because the damn thing was built too small to fit cars plus storage and we've chosen storage.

Sounds like my rude neighbor. They could fit a few more cars on the driveway, but the dad doesn't like having tome a car to get out so the park in front of my house.
Lol such a suburban thing for people to think it is rude to park on a public street just because it is in front of your house
Not in the suburbs, but it IS rude if:
- you have more cars than allows for your home, or parking in front of your own home
or
- there is space elsewhere on your street or nearby.

We have a 2 car garage, although we use one side for storage. Depending on the size of the cars, if we used absolutely all of the driveway space we could possibly get 6 cars in there.
As it is, we park one car in the garage, one in the driveway on the opposite side, and our third car in the street in front of the house. That way everyone can get in and out without someone else having to move out of the way.

We don't have driveways on my block so we all park on the street. It's a nice enough neighborhood.
I honestly miss the "look" of my childhood neighborhood where local ordinance prohibited parking on the street between midnight and 6am. Without cars in the street, it was a lot more kid/bike friendly. Of course, back in the 1970s, most families in the neighborhood had only one car and nobody had more than two.

My friend's neighbor has a four car garage (tandem, so 2+2 each side) and parks in front of my friend's house because he knows she hates it. That about sums up the neighbor.

1 car driveway and 1 car we keep parked there most of the time. We’re near metro and I don’t want some commuter hitting my car out on the street.

We have 3 cars in a 3 car garage. We also have a driveway that can fit 6-8 cars and we live on a cul-de-sac. When we had parties (pre-COVID) we could easily fit 20-25 cars.

Exactly the same for us. I know that some of my neighbors cars have actually been sideswiped while parked on the street. To me, that's reason enough not to park there.

We have 1 car driveway (converted garage to den) and 2 cars. Park one in driveway - one in front of house.
I don't understand it but DH is always miffed when someone is parked either behind him or in front of him in front of the house. There are stretches of the street that are "common" but it doesn't matter me. He finds it...bothersome.

I hate street parking so much (after years of city parking), that I happily chose a house on a road with no shoulder. All garage and driveway parking in our neighborhood.
