My son went to his first camp (a small group, 1/2 day outdoor tennis camp) last week, with our neighbor’s son. On day 2, our neighbor’s son got a fever. My son had spent a lot of the camp sitting with him while he sat there not feeling well. Nobody called the parents to say, hey this kid doesn’t feel good. So the kid was tested for covid on Wednesday, and the fever was gone by Friday. But who knows when the test results will come back. I’ve kept my son home since Tuesday. But how long am I supposed to do this? 2 weeks? Are we okay to go to work? I have no clue what we’re supposed to even do here. It just shows how crazy the school situation will be, if every time a kid gets a fever everyone around him/her could be a super-spreader but you don’t know for weeks.
Agreed.
Are you getting your son and yourself tested? You should, rather than wait for the boy's result to come in and then potentially wait 2 more weeks for yours.
