Dd Almost 4 can read (basic thing obviously) but still gets numbers mixed up. They all move at different stages.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is not advanced, it's normal. Not knowing any of these things at this age....is also normal.
Also with a parent who says things like "shapes and colors really don't need taught" and "numbers and letters need taught," she probably isn't learning everything correctly anyway. The poor child is going to need grammar lessons up the wazoo!
