There will be tens of thousands of new cases in the next couple weeks to come, assuming we weren’t being lied to the whole time about how contagious COVID is.
We need to go back to SAH/Shelter In Place immediately
I agree, but actually Elrich made clear in his last announcement that we are still under a stay at home order.
Except that we're not. Read his executive order. There's no stay-at-home order in it anymore.
Then he should stop putting it in his emails!!!! Are he and his staff just that stupid? I don’t have time to read every executive order, but I read his email updates.
Yes, apparently they are that stupid. The executive orders aren't that long. Read Executive Order 070-20 (link) and let me know if you see a stay-at-home order section. (hint: you won't find one)
Compare that to the earlier county executive order, Number 067-20. There you will see the stay-at-home order on page 2.
Simply put, the county's June 1st executive order lifted the stay-at-home order, while obviously leaving other restrictions in place (mostly related to opening/closing businesses).
You realize it’s ridiculous to have to cross-check the updates with the executive orders, right?

MD numbers have continued to go down.
The number of cases does not matter. All that matters is hospital utilization. If hospitals are not full then we should be open. Do you not remember "flatten the curve"? That was never about preventing infections, it was about spreading infections over a longer period of time so hospitals are not overwhelmed. We need to open.
The number of cases is related to the number of hospitalizations.
No. They’re mostly driven by number of people tested. You can call up your dr and get tested just for fun, like before you hit the road to go to the outer banks.

What asshats.
Hey! They just learned of this whole "pandemic" thing last week! It's not like they had 6 months to prepare or anything.
No way I'm ever voting for Elrich. He's like the Trump of MoCo when it comes to ability to lead and manage, even if their politics are totally opposite.
Harvard now feels the virus has been around since Aug 2019
?
They did a study and found evidence that the virus may have been circulating in Wuhan last August.

Grow up.

Well that puts the final nail in the coffin for the “it came from a bat” smokescreen. Because bats aren’t hibernating in August, and therefore aren’t on the menu at the markets, since “bat season” is only during the winter, when they can be hunted and collected while sleeping through hibernation.
