DD had Mo for 2 years. He is tough, and not warm and fuzzy at all. But she liked him and learned a lot from him. He made her work harder than she had ever worked. There were definitely some tears after many practices.

So I know some 08 players at Arlington are unhappy with the lack of skill training and no expectation of technical play. That type of system works for some players but not for others. How many times will you try a give and go if the other player never passes back? In the spring an hour and 1/2 practice was 55 minutes of conditioning work and four touches on the ball...at u12?

Before the pandemic I know two parents who contacted Mclean to attend a practice but got no call back. I guess MU calls you back, maybe it’s that simple?


Arlington 08 played McLean 08 this past season and looked much better technically than McLean. I would say Arlington possessed the ball 75% of the time. So I'm not sure this argument carries over. At least not in the 08 age group. At the 08 age group I've been able to watch almost all of the teams play within the past year. Here is my prediction of teams and how they will perform.
1. VDA
2. Loudoun
3. Arlington
4. BRYC
5. McLean
6. FCV

I thought Mo was not the coach? Didn’t they release the coaches on the GA call?

Anyone who joins McLean at 08 based on how the U18/19s performed might as well consider BRYC because Mia Hamm played there almost half a century ago.

That team is done. HUUUUGE difference between a team formed 6 years ago when there was only 2 ECNL options and a 08 team now.

There is zero to correlate two age groups at the bookend of their development.

What 30-person team? U18/19 has 24+ but that is all girls who are among the best and the region and are in their jr/sr year with other commitment, hence, they need a large roster. By the way, from what I understand, all the girls on that team had DI offers including some to top programs.
