We would love to go for walks in our neighborhood, but we live near a bunch of pet friendly apartment buildings and those millennials are out walking their dogs AT ALL HOURS. It’s just a non stop hoard of people with dogs, and they don’t wear masks and don’t keep six feet away. We are family of four, and its exhausting to keep the kids corralled close and away from the SD disregarding DINKS with dogs.
This makes me HATE beautiful Saturday’s like today (and the flyover didn’t help) b/c we thought of venturing out to a more suburban location, but we were pretty sure every street and office parking lot would have a throng of people (we have a yard less condo townhouse).
So you’re upset that other people are doing exactly what you intend to do?
I haven’t gone out in two weeks. The dog walkers are out two times a day. And I KEEP SOCIAL DISTANCE. That’s the part that is infuriating.
If you haven't stepped outside in 2 weeks, that's your choice. Or you have high risk comorbidities, and that's what you need to do. Being "infuriated" at others is insane. If you don't have any big health issues, then stop reading the news. Shut down the computer. Go outside.

OP, we are only flattening the curve. We will not get rid of this virus by staying at home. That is NEVER what this was meant to do.
Why don't you understand that?
Of course I do... I also understand stay at home orders haven’t lifted though ...
That won't change the facts. Once people can go out again, the virus will be there. We are not quarantined so it magically disappeared. It's an enemy we will be faced with for awhile.

And this is why the USA has the most cases and the most deaths.
As long as their most beloved isn’t breathing with a tube, they’re going to disregard science.
I mean, why are we surprised? Enough people voted for Trump that he became President, and now he’s killing off Americans because of his lack of clear messaging on the pandemic (and deliberate lies and red herrings).
2016 consequences, people.

So you feel stupid for believing something that you now know wasn’t true or you feel taken advantage of? Really?
No I feel like I’ve sacrificed to do something I stupidly thought everyone else was doing too! It was for nothing!
It was to keep YOURSELF safe. Yeah yeah I know this is about community spread blah blah, but at the end of the day you can't control anyone else's actions, nor their view of risk. All you can do is do your best to protect YOU. One way to do that is to MINIMIZE exposure which you have done by not going out to grocery stores unnecessarily, let alone antique shops. And btw -- what is the big deal? You can't go antiquing in 2 months??
The big deal is these are TINY stores. There’s no way to socially distance in them. For crying out loud, Trader Joe’s limits people and spaces you out in a line to get in. And that’s for food! This is a cramped ass antique store, nobody needs antiques right now, and I saw tons of people walking in.
Right. I agree with you. They're stupid. So why are you jealous that you are "sacrificing" by staying home and they "get to" go antiquing? You want to be stupid too?
No I want them inside or sequestered to neighborhood walks only like I am lol
Well that’s never going to happen, so what’s the point of whining abt it? Just keep doing what you’re doing and stop complaining.

I guess people need to see that happen a few times to start taking it seriously again.

No one is out in our suburban Bethesda neighborhood. It's been deserted for weeks and still is.
OP is a troll.

Anonymous wrote:We need to have staggered opening up, or people will chaotically start doing whatever. Parks need to be open. A few more businesses. And people who are high risk (elderly, chronic diseases and multiple comorbidities) really need to stop being stubborn, and self isolate. There's no reason the entire world needs to completely shut down because some people are at high risk.
