I will say that if this bothered my husband, I'd change. It just doesn't seem like a big deal! I also think this was how I was raised, my parents and brother don't either.
No, that is not normal. Do you have kids? They teach kids in preschool to wash after using the restroom, before eating, etc.
For reference, wash your hands:
Before, during, and after preparing food
Before eating food
Before and after caring for someone at home who is sick with vomiting or diarrhea
Before and after treating a cut or wound
After using the toilet
After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet
After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste
After handling pet food or pet treats
After touching garbage

I would completely make a mental note of that if I knew you. I always make a note of kids who come over and don't wash their hands after using the bathroom, too. So gross.

If I did get my hand wet or I touched my genitals, i would wash my hand but I don't pee or drip pee on my hand or touch my genitals when I pee. The only thing I touch is dry paper.
If I think I contaminated my hand in some way then yes, I wash it but that doesn't happen very often.
I wash my hands when out in public because I am touching door stalls and door handles and things other people have touched.
Same. I don’t know what others are doing when they pee but under normal circumstances (not on my period for example) all I touch is toilet paper
Anonymous wrote:Guy here. Realistically, most guys don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom unless others are there noticing such as a public bathroom, even then it’s probably 50%. I agree with the one post, we don’t pee on ourselves when taking a piss so it’s not like we’re contaminated or anything. As for going #2, I’d say it’s more typical then not to wash your hands afterwards.
I’ve worked in an all male work setting for 30 years and I assure you my commitment is true. One question for the OP, if you get up in the middle of the night to pee do you go to the sink and wash your hands at 4AM? My point exactly.

Do you flush with your foot at home?

This thread is just sad.
