Last year Overall offers: 9,787
This year Overall offers: 8,420
They had ED this year, which accounts for the difference in offers.
They admitted 749 during ED, so there's still a gap of 618 there.
They overenrolled by 175 last year, so that leaves a gap of 443.
If they over enrolled last year, why did they take any off of waitlist?

Console yourself with that dear parents. Most years, DCUM posters are convinced no prior class has EVER had to face a more selective admissions landscape.
What could you possibly mean by that?? Are you not aware that 2021 has changes in AP exams and probably no SATs? Class of 2021 is screwed.
