With this logic, I hope you never ask to teleworking during bad weather, when traffic is bad, metro or trains are under maintenence, you have to stay home because the roof is being replaced, etc. You bought a house far from work, live with your choices! And your kids should not apply for financial aid, live within your means. And don't go on vacation. You should enjoy your house enough to stay there all the time!
