My 4 kids have top 5/10 names for their birth year, yet they’ve never been in a class or on a team with a kid with the same name. Not an issue at all.
NP, I accept the point that popularity matters less today bc there is more variety and the most popular names are not so concentrated as in previous years. At the same time I am leery of top-10 names bc it just seems so basic. My goal is a name with some history (ie nothing made up) that is recognizable but not too common.
