Don't intermix the 2

They will either continue to call the players up or tell them they need to move to a DA to stay in the system. Eventually, US Soccer will simply stop calling up ECNL players and they will let them know why they are no longer being called up. The players will then have to decide if playing in a Part-time league is worth the college scholarship that a NT Training camp can provide is worth it.
No one cares. You are talking about 20 kids nationally. Is that all the DA people have...the carrot of a callup?
99.9 percent of the players know by U15 that they are not on that path.
Who cares about dilution? It is better to have more options for everyone. It is better to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. The mission of DA is not to have one super team per area. It is to develop players. The super team model leaves a lot of individual out. You know how it works. They are only taking 18-19 players. Would you really want only one DA or ECNL team for this area? Make one team out of the following clubs -Loudoun, Arlington, BSC, FCV, SYA and VDA(add who ever you want). Now tell me some talented players with potent are not left out.
DA/ECNL should not start till u15. Spend the resources on having 4 team per age group broken down by birth month for u12 and below. So at u9 one team is January-March, the next is April-June, etc. This would increase the talent pool at u15 by 3 times. There are just as many potential soccer players in the Oct-Dec birth months as there are in the Jan-March birth months but some how the Oct-Dec group only represents maybe 10% of the top team players. The Jan-March group represents close to 75%.

ECNL gave them an ultimatum last year.
Real Colorado had 1 DA and 1 ECNL team. They were forced to choose and they went DA.
A year later, the are back.
And for your information, Real Colorado has the talent, like PDA, Hawks, Stars, etc to field two quality teams.
It is still a B team playing in a "Elite" league.
Here is your ECNL Conference in 2 years.
Loudoun
McLean
BRYC
VDA
CYA
PWSI
VSA
VYS
Strikers
Kickers
Tidewater
Villareal
The current ECNL Mid Atlantic is 11 teams an aligned VA Conference would be 12 teams. The bright side is travel will be reduced. The downside is, pick your team appropriately because only the top teams will get to the good national events.
Nice trolling.
Is it really trolling or the direction that ECNL is heading?
