I know all three places and here’s the town/location and associated student experience quality, in order of magnitude:
Bowdoin
Bates
Colby
It is a feeder school for a few NE school privates. BB&N in Cambridge has a lot of students who have matriculates to Colby.

Anonymous wrote:People who go to Colby love Colby. DH is a an alum and loved it. Neither DC felt the same for different reasons. It's small and isolated but a great education in a beautiful place with lots of things to do outdoors, especially if you like skiing and hiking.
