Girls like playing HS and this provides a true path to the next level for elite players who also want to play HS. Baltimore should have ECNL options given its size and soccer culture. Three area girls HS teams were ranked in the top 25 nationally.
If BA keeps DA, this will be a win-win for everyone except MUSC and BSC, which will both lose Baltimore-area players to Pipeline.
High school soccer is crap.
McDonalds sucks yet people still go because they like it. We aren't discussing quality if HS soccer. The issue is that girls play and thus any league that offers elite travel while also offering the ability to pursue HS is better than other options.
Pursing rec soccer is not a better option. Sorry, but the product is crap. You pay $10,000 a year for ECNL training to walk away from it for 3-4 months.
Tell me your kid made Varsity soccer and I'm unimpressed. It is a crap product, coached by crap coaches played by lots of crappy soccer players.

Not really. It is a social/cultural experience that some people are deep into. Others, not so much. My DD can't stand it. Even watching it is painful to her because it's just such a low level event to watch.

No, they aren’t.
Once they join the ECNL, they will be. Being in the ECNL is being in the system.

So just the pre-academy teams will play ecnl? that'd be an even greater conflict of interest for Pipeline staff/players
Pipeline and BA are entirely different organizations. Not sure how there could possibly be a conflict.
Incorrect. BA girls is run by the same people running Pipeline.
There’s overlap but it’s not the same, the da is run in conjunction with SAC and has a different board.
Again, incorrect. Papers were signed. BA girls is completely controlled/run by Pipeline staff. SAC owns the rights to the BA name/use but is not involved with the girls side in any capacity other than feeding players and providing fields.
This incorrect!!! SAC handles all administrative parts of Girls DA. Fields are actually split between the SAC Facility and the new field at Mercy High School. The real issue here is the relationships between Craig, John, Santino and Sean. Santino has a daughter in the DA program, also, there is a good chance DA/Pipeline will have its first player make the U16 USWNT this year. I am sure Pipeline wants to claim her.

Still don’t see a conflict, you seem weirdly obsessed.
If pipeline pulls out, then it would be run by sac
Definitely a conflict. pipeline pushes a player to DA, that's one less player registration with pipeline. hurts pipelines pockets and quality of their teams. pipeline is all about $$$$ and getting Ws
Can you at least be consistent? If pipeline ownership controls BA, they profit by having full rosters for both. Pipeline has no problem finding girls to play preacademy when girls leave for BA, same for SAC. And yes, I am local to Baltimore and know kids on both teams, friends of my dd who plays a different club sport,
If VSA went on their own into DA VDA would still exist. All VSA staff would be off the VDA board but VDA would continue to run and find another club to merge with. How is this hard for you to understand?
