Granted, I think this new house is ugly as hell and I am staggered at the rumor they paid 700K for a pile of junk. I also think the exterior of their beautiful Richmond colonial looked much better before they made it white and stark naked. But there’s nothing wrong with them and smaller bedrooms (even a very large room for parents and a closet sized room for kids) does NOt constitute abuse. Even if they had their kids share a room it’s not abuse. Ya’ll don’t know what abuse is if this would even occur to you.
It’s not a rumor. They confirmed it on their podcast.
I do think the abuse allegations are ridiculous. If only every “abused” child got to grow up in a beautiful house like the Richmond house and go to the beach all summer! Now they live in a small house close to the beach which is also NOT even close to abuse. I actually think that John and Sherry have been a lot better parents since starting the podcast. They never show their children’s faces and never say their names anymore. Pictures are either from behind or too far to recognize the kids faces. The kids definitely have a lot more privacy than during the blog days — which is good thing!

The only way I see this working is that they keep it as a family vacation house (for extended family too) and they find a much nicer property to actually move into.
She is just plain nuts and has acted like she has never seen a tree before. Yet their Richmond lot had a damn forest behind it.
No way. They’re definitely going to rent it out after they finish renovating it. Remember, they were renting out their duplex all summer, why wouldn’t they rent out another beach house?
Because they hated it. They don't like to have to take care of a property and clean after each rental. They also said they don't want to pay someone to do it. So that leaves the to do it and they said they didnt like it.
Not true.

The plastic shelf helps us store toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen trash bags, and extra linens in case the cleaners don’t have time to fully launder everything between guests – or if they find something that has been stained or ripped that needs quick replacing. We’re learning that these very short turnover windows make it really important to have extra items on hand so there’s not a huge last minute panic. Here’s hoping!
Correct, they had cleaners who did some of the cleaning, but they also did a lot of it themselves to the point where they were running around trying to get laundry done, cleaning the back patio, and making sure everything was staged perfectly all in the 5 hr window before the next guests arrived. It sounded like a headache.
It says right there that the cleaners did the laundry, and that there were extra linens.
They hosed down the back patio between renters. That's it. So what?

It looks really, really tight and she seems nervous or like she’s trying to hard to defend all their choices as she’s taking about it. Check out how they are storing their cereal in drawers that look like a bookcase… This house is a mess. There’s also a picture of Jon on the blog sitting at the table looking forlorn. I bet he wishes #johnsaidno!
+1
She sounds defensive and desperate.
I don't see how they can't be second-guessing this decision.

They haven’t said. It’s somewhere in the panhandle that’s in central time.
Seagrove near Santa Rosa beach
Good sleuthing, how did you do that?
