Try folex for the rug. It works wonders.

I think it is reasonable to ask her not to wear jeans to work. Some jeans do rub off and even come with a warning.

Yeah we went through about three couches in a year and a half for similar reasons.

Buy her a white nurse’s uniform. Actually, several.
Problem solved.

Text her a photo and ask her what happened. If she says she doesn’t know, then suggest it’s her jeans and ask her how this can be avoided.

How do jean stain furniture? I've never had that happen. Most jeans are sold pre-washed. Maybe it was something else.

Came home tonight and walked into the baby’s room and noticed that our nearly brand new ivory rocker and the light colored rug are both stained blue. Guessing it’s from the nanny’s dark jeans that she was wearing today, but then again she wears jeans often so maybe I just hadn’t noticed before. Pretty sure both are ruined. It is extremely noticeable and really upsetting given that we just spent nearly $1,500 on these items just six months ago,

What do we do here... say something to the nanny on Monday? If so, what exactly? Not looking for her to pay for the damages but pretty annoyed and want to make sure she doesn’t ruin anything else.

Can you afford a professional nanny? Who wouldn’t wear jeans to work?

If it had been yellow or pink or light blue or green, it would have been just as ruined.

Not sure why you’d buy ivory anything in a kid’s room?

People! The furniture isn’t white, it’s ivory. All the difference in the world.

OP, take a deep breath and call Stanley Steemer to come out and take care of your (giggle) light-colored upholstery in (snort) your child’s room. Then thank your nanny for spending so much time cuddling and playing with your baby. Then put a slipcover on the rocker and a cheap rug on the floor, and call it a day.

Damn girl, you are cold! At least OP can dispose of the body by rolling it up in the rug that got ruined.

*annoying. Autocorrect!

LOL How is that autocorrect? Seems more like a Freudian slip.

If you want things done your way, do it yourself. Anytime you invite outside help your inviting the chance for stained chairs and poop rugs. If my employer had white fabric desk chairs they would be accused of inviting problems. If they had a rug that couldn’t be cleaned, same issue.
