Are you a legacy family? If so, a deferral is often a "soft decline". We got one of those from an Ivy where DD was a legacy.

I just spent 5 minutes reading and I'm stressed out! Practically every other thread on there is talking about the subReddit and/or it's users being "toxic."
Then don't read it?
Discord is the other site where kids discuss things, including college -- but you really don't want to go there if Reddit stresses you out.

Yeah, I think I agree. I've been checking a number of the forum topics, not just UVA, and it does seem like posting are much less frequent.
