Nope. It’s not the same name. OP wants to name her dd Marin/Maren, which rhymes with Karen and is definitely NOT Irish. Máirín, the Irish name is correctly pronounced like Maureen or MOI-reen and doesn’t sound the same or have the same origins as Maren/Marin.
