OMG the documentation says: “To prevent damage to the exterior, immediately remove corrosive substances (such as grease, oil, bird droppings, tree resin, dead insects, tar spots, road salt, industrial fallout, etc.). Do not wait until Cybertruck is due for a complete wash. If necessary use denatured alcohol to remove tar spots and stubborn grease stains, then immediately wash the area with water and a mild, non-detergent soap to remove the alcohol.”

Is the issue safety, or that it’s hard for you to change habits and familiarity with a rear view mirror? I don’t find rear view or even side view mirrors for that matter too useful. I suppose there could be a situation where snow or dirt obscures the cameras, but that could be said also for side mirrors or rear window. Once or twice a year I’d get a message that one of the cameras is obscured, but there’s enough redundancy that I don’t really see it as a problem.

It’s not that big of a deal. I have both Tesla 3 and Y, I find it more convenient to look on the screen to assess what’s around the car instead of looking over the shoulder to check for blind spots on the highway. It’s not only video, it’s also the ultrasonic distance sensors that give you information in a low speed environment like a parking lot, I find those very useful when trying to navigate tight spaces.

Ones been cruising around Maine, NH and VT. Keep seeing posts on Facebook. Was curious if it was publicity.

What’s your evidence that everyone that wanted one has one? They still have a huge wait list on the R1S. I want one, but I’ve already got an SUB that’s fine. But when I’m in the market in a couple years I’ll be looking at one.

The PP has none. The wait for R1S is still very long and they also continue to sign new companies for their commercial vans.
