Players need to prioritize what is important to them. Players will commit to schools they don’t have ave a chance to play at, transfer the next year.

More than 50% of players don’t make it the full 4 years for various reasons and they find ways to get those committed and working hard more money as the years go on. I started at 50% scholarship and ended with full ride my last 2 years. Also, just because you get a full ride, partial ride etc doesn’t mean you can hang at the college level. It really sucks sometimes and will push every limit you have. Go for the school, not the soccer or the money.

Not true for scholarships in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-12, and SEC, and at several other colleges that have voluntarily adopted the Power 5 agreement. DCUM and other online sources can be helpful, but athletes and their parents definitely need to do their due diligence.
