NPL? You're kidding - right?
On the girls side, there are not many elite teams left if any in NCSL. That is why most elite teams leave after u13? The competition is not there. If you look at any of the top brackets at any of the elite tournaments, including Bethesda, WAGS, Discovery, Jefferson, OBGC, etc, you will not find any NCSL teams and only a few CCL teams at u14 or higher. I can understand creating a pathway for CCL but not NCSL. Talk about diluting the field.
Totally different on the boys' side. All the elite teams are in NCSL.

This allows for less travel than say EDP for VA teams. This is much more local versus EDP and teams can get more spring games in especially if they front end loaded their CCL schedule to be heavier in the Fall and lighter in the spring. This is not uncommon as VA has high school soccer for public schools in the spring so clubs may choose to play most of their CCL games in the fall with only a fewer amount in the Spring when kids have more conflicts due to High School.
Did they only add "Super Group" games or did they just "join" NCSL and will play Non-Super Group games in NCSL D1 as well? Thanks
