Ok, season ticket holder reporting back. Our account manager was contacted by the Nats sales team, we have the right to all World Series Games in DC to our original 4 seats and the rights to 4 additional seats in another section. I don't know the price, but the playoff games have been substantially more expensive than our regular game price. We are not a mini plan group, we are a full season ticket all game group that's been together since the Nats came to DC, so I don't know if there is seniority/loyalty given here or not, but we are very happy that we will have the right of first refusal to our tickets, which are right behind the dugout.

PP here. Nats are charging us $310 per ticket for each of the three games, our regular 4 tickets and 4 extra tickets (in different section above the bullpen). We are thrilled. Our regular seats are right behind the dugout. Our group has an agreement that we cannot resell the World Series tickets, if you take the world series ticket you have to go or give it back to the group. Huge respect to the Nats organization for giving loyalty to season ticket holders!!! Go Nats!

I wouldn't bet on it. First time the Nats are in the world series and I think there are some growing pains with how they're going about this and overpromised. Or maybe they'll hold back something like 1000 tickets for this purpose.

Funny because in 2012, I could swear that NLCS and world series tickets were released while Nats were still in the NLDS. Clearly jumped the shark on that one but it enabled fans who were paying attention to buy tickets for the whole way through.

NLCS tickets were released while they were still in the NLDS.

I don't mind the Nats giving Season Ticket holders tickets but I wish they would make them use it!!! I know...it's how they get people to come back. But, if you have the money to buy a season ticket pack...don't you have the money to buy World Series tickets

Still keeping my fingers crossed they honor their statement that those who bought NLCS tickets directly from Nats will get a crack at it.

Agreed. I didn't realize there were so many Nats ticket holders and plan members but it doesn’t seem like there will be anything left after that. I got access to the NLCS “presale” merely by being a Nats Fan Club member, lol, which was presumably after the plan members presale, but there was plenty to go around.

Same here. A friend who did get a valid link said very little was left anyway. I guess you really need to have high seniority to have a shot (we were just mini plan holders).

Payoff tickets for all sports are more expensive per game, than the regular season. And they get more expensive each round.

Face value for Caps Stanley Cup tickets were close to $500 each. It is the nature of the beast.

I don’t know if our group manager has heard anything but I literally just got an email offering me World Series tickets if I buy a new season ticket plan.

The upside is there will be a lot of cheap single game tickets available next season on Stubhub from all of these people buying plans to get into the World Series.

We went to multiple games a year from RFK until we moved out of state two years ago... I’d say watching 100+ games of baseball each year on TV is a pretty high level of support. We just want to drive back to DC and see them in the World Series! Pretty sure those tickets on Stubhub marked up like crazy belong to plan members looking to make some $$$.

DP and I get where you're coming from too, but I feel bad that someone like my dad, lifelong DC resident and the biggest Nats fan I know, has practically no shot to get WS tickets at the original sale price. He watches every game on MASN, knows all the stats, and goes with us or my brother to several games per year (he's at the point where he's not comfortable going into the city on his own). Neither of us can afford the Stubhub markup. Yankees fans will pay up though so lets hope other Nats fans with deeper pockets buy them up first.....

But yes, it's a pay-to-play world. Thankful that playoff tickets were more accessible- he was thrilled to go to the Wild Card game- was supposed to take him back tonight but who knew the Nats would sweep the NLCS?! dang!!

At 12:30 last night I got an email with a link to buy tickets but i just saw it now and it doesn’t seem like the link works anymore.

O/T (showing my age here) but does anyone know if The Washington Post still has a later edition that will have updated stories and if so where can I buy a copy? I'm close to 6-Eleven and CVS but haven't bought newspapers for years.
