Can you help me find some names that meet this sound profile DCUM?
Ones I liked that were vetoed:
Georgia
Delilah
Tallulah
Ophelia
How about Hannah or Leah?
I like a little more off the beaten path. So the Emmas, Hannahs, Avas, and Leahs are not doing it
Sounds like your husband likes the beaten path. How about Anastasia?
He's ambivalent about popularity, just wants a name recognized as a name. Our other two kids have real names but outside the top 100. Our other girl is Juliette.
To the other pp, yes we like multi syllabic because our last name is one syllable with a hard vowel sound.
All the names on your list are “recognized as names” though...it’s not like you made them up. Sounds like your husband just likes names that are a bit more common. How about Virginia? Or just Lilah instead of Delilah?
Virginia is actually totally in the running. Currently in the top 3 (Alexandria, Virginia, Wendy). For some reason I don't love it the way I love the others. And he isn't even seeking 'love' so much as just he feels good about it.
I have been feeling frustrated because while I think all of our top three are ok, I don't feel excited or in love with them like I have the names he's vetoed. So was trying to figure out what it is those are missing.
