Are they staying at the grandparents or will they only be checking in. Because by my late teens I was looking for any excuse to stay home and have some alone time with my boyfriend.

Gosh, OP.

If I had four kids and a willing grandparent I would jump on this opportunity to do a little-kid focused trip.

Do you really care if they study all the time or mix some studying with time with their friends?

Enjoy this opportunity with the little ones.

(as for it being Jamaica... even someplace as nice as that provide opportunities for a parent to overplan or plan things that just aren't fun for all the ages.)

My DH is the same about vacations as your teens. He had extremely traumatic vacations, all of them stuffed in a motor home for weeks at a time, every single year - even when they lived overseas! He is still in therapy for it, decades later, I am not even kidding (wish I was). We don't go anywhere because to DH, vacation is pure hell. The kids kind of follow his lead. So, it could be worse, OP!
