She’s really that big. It’s shocking she doesn’t get help. If she were an alcoholic people would tell her to get help, but apparently eating yourself to death is different. Not saying you can’t be big and healthy , I’m all for some curves, but morbid obesity is no joke.

I agree with a PP about Kate getting gastric bypass and dying -- totally makes sense. We'll see...
I really thought Randall was going to fire his Chief of Staff and make the more experienced woman his Chief of Staff...
Justin Hartley is so good. How does he not get an Emmy for his performance? I think he's just excellent on this show. I loved the flashbacks to kid Kevin with Randall's first panic attack....

Anonymous wrote:I am so over Randall. So over. The whole councilman thing was just stupid. And I'm tired of his schmaltzy, hypergoofy dad schtick.
Bummer, because he used to be my favorite character.

And the song playing across that sounded so familiar, with the lyrics," I love my father and I love him well. I hope to see him someday soon." Very poignant. Was it in another episode?
While not all the episodes have the same stellar writing and emotional heft, so far this season is working for me. As always, the acting is great.
Agreed. I'm not always 100% on this show, but it does remind me to step back and see the big picture when it comes to family--they remember not so much what we say but how we made them feel.

Now if only Kate would get with the program...

I'm thinking maybe this show has redeemed itself. I really didn't love it so much after last year but if this season stays like this I'm fully invested.
When Kate started talking about Jack "watching" Steelers game from a young age, I just broke. She was trying so hard up to that point to not give into the reality.
Same here. I really like what they're doing with Kate right now. Her negativity has sometimes been too much for me, but she has the potential to be one of the most interesting characters. I love it when she's strong.
